Some prefer the warmth and authenticity of their own home, and on-locations can add a beautiful natural touch, especially if there’s a spot that holds special meaning – a favorite park, a quiet trail, romantic on the beach or even your own backyard.

No matter where we photograph, my goal is to create an atmosphere where you can relax, be yourself, and simply enjoy the moment. The right environment helps tell your story in the most genuine way.

The most important thing is that you feel comfortable and confident in what you wear. Choose outfits that reflect who you are and make you feel your best. Instead of matching perfectly, go for soft, complementary tones that blend beautifully together and keep the focus on your connection as a family. Gentle textures, cozy layers, and simple accessories like scarves, hats, or bowties can add a lovely touch without taking away from the moment. For the outdoors, don’t forget about shoes you can move easily in and dressing for the weather. And for little ones—having an extra outfit on hand is always a good idea, just in case.

Talk to your kids about the session beforehand and keep it positive and fun. Frame it as a fun activity or “playdate” with a friend who will take some pictures. Ensure they are well-rested and well-fed before the session, and feel free to bring non-messy snacks, a special treat as a bribe and their favorite toys for the session.

Absolutely! Pets and special items like a beloved blanket, a favorite toy, or something meaningful to your family are always welcome—they make your photos even more personal and heartfelt. Just let me know ahead of time what you’d like to bring so we can plan the session around it and make sure everything fits beautifully into your story.
